Who is Recruiter Paul?
Hi, I’m Paul — and yes, I’m a recruiter.
I like to keep things simple!
I’ve spent over 20 years helping businesses in the UK and EU build strong HR and commercial teams.
What do I do?
Here’s the short version:
- I run The HR Guys, which helps companies hire top HR talent in the UK and EU.
- I lead the Interim HR Network, connecting businesses with immediately available senior HR professionals.
- I support growing companies with a range of fractional talent acquisition services through the European Recruitment Company — not just for HR roles, but also for key commercial hires.
- I also coach job seekers, offering straight-talking advice on job moves, interviews, and navigating the market (on a limited basis).
My background
- Started in IT and professional services recruitment in 2000
- Moved into HR recruitment in 2005
- Went independent in 2010
- Now celebrating 20 years in HR recruitment in 2025
I split my time between Cambridge and Innsbruck, giving me insight into two very different but equally interesting talent markets.
